drool and double drool

been wanting to get myself a point and shoot camera for quite a long while now. have just been suppressing the urge to buy one cause frankly, i'm gathering enough reasons to get myself one. haha.. more like, testing my patience. :P

i suppose my patience has run dry after the so many uncountable occasions and events of which i wished i had a camera. and while borrowing/using another's camera is an option, somehow, i just don't end up getting the photos i took.

of course there's still my dSLR which unfortunately isn't a very convenient thing to be bringing around, especially during formal dinners or dress-up parties. hecks, it's even a bother to bring around sight seeing at times.

hence the hunt for the compact camera began.

and it ended tonight. cause oh dear. i'm in lurveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~*

ladies and gents, i present the Nikon S51C/S51!



it's love at first sight. or well, first read. :P

however, it's wayyyy over my budget. i was looking for something around RM700, but none of which i found satisfied me.. i'd estimate this fella to be about RM1500.. thats.. double of my budget.. *sighs*

looks like i'll be on a 'diet'.. :(

check out the specs if you wanna know why i'm so all over it.
here are some things it can do that my dSLR can't:

1. it's 8.1 mega pixels. dSLR is 6.1
2. it can take macro from 4cm
3. it can take video (with sound)
4. it can fit into my handbag!
5. it's wifi. (yes. you can upload photos w/o cable and even email them from the cam)
6. oh. it has stopmotion function too. :P

well, there're other reasons too.. a lot more. but, i'm malas lah.. haha..

oh, btw, olympus has a cool feature to their new cameras - smile detection. it detects a smile and *click* automatically takes the photo. hahaha..

nikon still rules. doesn't matter.
