* streaks of hope *: before everything and after

it's been awhile since i updated anything properly.. well. here's one since i'm in a entertaining mood.. (sort-of) however, the entertainment will be at the expense of certain beloved people. with that, heres a warning - some potentially disturbing content coming up. *explicit and exclusive*

last sem break justin visited kk. we managed to visit a few places.

We also got to see the proboscis monkey - i.e. the monkey with a **** on it's nose. google it. :P it only exists in borneo.

it was a river cruise. about 2 hours plus drive from kk town. we also got to see other monkeys, kerbaus, kingfishers and oh.. fireflies!! :)

some facts about the proboscis monkey ::
1. they live in herds/packs/schools/whatever you call it of about 30 in a tree, with one male. yes. one.
2. the male has a 24/7 erection.
3. o.O

we also visited the tip of borneo. that's in kudat by the way. my mom was kind enough to drive us.. wait, actually, justin drove most of the time. if you ever do go to kudat, look out for this seafood restaurant called 'sungai wang' (i kid you not). the food there is awesomely nice and superbly cheap too! we ordered 1kg butter crab (2 crabs!!), 1kg huge marmite prawns, 1kg of some shell thing, and another dish of wild boar. my mom gave up half way after eating only like, 1 prawn and none of the crab. sheesh. she's so not helping my cholesterol level. the bill came up to about RM83.

A few days later, my dad brought us to check out this revolving restaurant in Yayasan Sabah. It's called Atmosphere. Nice, cosy place to chill out, with lots and lots of colourful, funky cushion cairs, sofas and pillows~!!

my church cg went on a retreat quite some time ago. they insisted we go to malacca. >.<" my cg members that went for the retreat : Priya, Jyh Shyn, Andrea, me! and Johnny. The medical student was taking the photo.

we stayed at Methodist centre. Nice place for medium sized - large groups. Affordable and well mantained. That night, after the guys had shopped at MP/DP and the girls at jongker and after lots of food, magic tricks and etc, we settled down and played this game called 'king'.

the rules are easy, each person will take a card and not reveal his/her numberonly the king will annouce that he/she is the king. then, the king will be able to command other people to do things. i.e. numbers 3 and 4 sing a song and dance at the same time. hence, whoever holding card numbers 3 and 4 will have to comply. it's a game that has the potential to go reallllllyyy wrong. but. we're nice church people. *heh*

i was required to shout 'hi! my name is audrey' from the balcony of the centre towards the church.
jyh shyn had to smell priya's feet.
4 people had to smell each other's butts.
there was also indian dances and impromtu singing.

but.
but.

the best has got to be the one where the king asked for 2 pairs of numbers. and in the pair, the 2 persons would have to take on the identity of the other person. lo and behold, i was paired with johnny, and kerwin was paired with priya.
