sometimes i really dont know if it's easier to stay with friends or aquaintances. no matter what, you'll tend to rub each other the wrong way now and then.
i stay with the latter. people of which are from different faculties, different years and also different social groups. it's good in a sense that since our lives are not linked, we only see each other at home, i.e. reduces the amount of clashes. but yet, its also because our lives are not linked, that there is a feeling of living with 'strangers'.
i dont have much complains about them. compared to many of the other stories i've heard of 'freaky' housemates. other than the occasional squeeze in the kitchen when we all decide to cook at the same time, and also when we all decide to wash clothes at the same time. i've sent my clothes to the laundry a few times. maybe they have too.
my busy lifestlye can be taxing. trying to juggle between studies and commitments and also trying to maintain a house. my housemates are clean. yes. they're neat people. and many times i feel bad for always having cg or meetings here. yet, i can not forget what this house was initially dedicated for.
i am thankful that they understand. as much as they can. especially during this sem of insane 4 feet by 4 feet artwork, of which i hogged the hall and the dining table to do. sometimes i do wish that my house was a perpetual mess, so i wouldn't feel so guity about the acrylic stains and brushes lying around.
it's difficult to try and take care of their needs too. i may be the house owner but that doesn deprive them of their rights as a resident. especially my having meetings during exam periods or in the mornings. much as i want to, i haven't figured out a way to go about that yet. i am trying.
i guess this is just to say some stuff that i've been wanting to say but havent been able to.. since we're just housemates, not exactly friends.. i'm not a very good landlord. i know. i always forget to pay the bills.. (and i also forget to collect bills) but since we're still gonna have to stay together , help me out on this, work it out, lets come home to a home. not a room.
sorry for troubles caused and thanks. thank you all for being great housemates. (includes the bunny)
