i can't resist

ok.. i know i've been on a blogging spree lately.. well.. cant' blame me.. i just blog when i take breaks from studying.. ;)

so.. what have i learnt after studying for computer graphics paper?

i've learnt that

the largest resident hard disk that we have encountered so far on a pc has the storage capacity of 14.4 gbs.

wow.. my hard disk is 200 gbs.. ain't that something?

today, the 400 mhz pentium ii machines are the state-of-the-art machines and the pentium 166 mhz pcs are considered low end machines.

and mine is a pentium what??

all cds have about the same storage capacity which is about 650mbs.

all my cds store 800mbs..

today, the hard disks are over 1 gb of storage space, averaging about 2 gbs.

1 gb is the size of my ram..

... you can see them advertise in the papers or magazines as "32 mbs of ram" or "64 mbs of ram"..

yes.. i said it already..

.. the fastest transfer rate is 34 x ..

fast huh?

at present, it is possible to buy a cd-r disk for about usd 3 or less..

goodness.. that like.. rm 11.40 or less for a cd-r!

there are utilities in windows 95 that allow the user to defrag the hard disk..

windows 95 eh? think thats bad? read the next one.. another personal favourite..

if you are using windows 3.1, you will need to go to dos and type "defrag" to start defrag untility program in dos..

awesome stuff they teach us here eh? with text books written in prehistoric times, you wonder how you're going to be 'permata dunia'.. sheesh..

lesly.. i just totally agree with you..
